Religion-less

Are humans kinder to themselves when they rely on their own notions of compassion devoid of religious dogma or influences?

I notice that the most oppressive systems, laws, and judgements of all, exist in so-called hyper-religious nations and states.

People with wicked hearts and distorted egos often hide under the canopy of religion. As an excuse to dismiss the wicked ways of other human beings.

I’d rather live in a religiously relaxed environment or one where people have a direct connection to spiritual sources. With as little human interpretation or organisation as possible. It’s often more peaceful that way.

Religions, like fireflies, need darkness to shine." -Arthur Schopenhauer
